These terms are an agreement between you and Andrea Rossi, an individual developer resident in Switzerland ("we") for the use of the Mappo app and the web pages at mappoapp.com. By creating an account or using Mappo you accept them. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data.
You must be at least 14 years old to use Mappo. Keep your sign-in details safe; you are responsible for what happens with your account. You can delete it at any time in Settings.
You keep ownership of everything you post — tracks, photos, videos, text. So that Mappo can work, you give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, resize and display your content within Mappo and on its web pages, according to the visibility you choose. The licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies other people already saved or shared within Mappo.
Only post content you have the right to post. You are responsible for it.
Mappo has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. Do not post or send content that is illegal, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, violent or threatening, that infringes someone else's rights, that reveals someone else's private information or location without their consent, or that is spam. Do not impersonate others, and do not try to break, overload or scrape Mappo. The full Community Guidelines are in the app (Settings → Community Guidelines).
You can report any post, comment, message or profile and block any user from the app. We review reports within 24 hours, remove content that breaks these rules, and suspend or remove the accounts responsible.
Notices of illegal content, including copyright claims, can also be sent to support@mappoapp.com, which is our single point of contact under the EU Digital Services Act for users and authorities. Tell us where the content is and why it is illegal; we tell you what we decided and why, and you can contest a decision about your own content by replying to it.
Outdoor activities are dangerous. Routes, maps, distances, elevation, difficulty, time estimates, trail data and anything else in Mappo — including routes suggested by Mappo, curated guides and content from other users — are for information only and may be wrong, out of date or unsuitable for you. Trails close, conditions change, and a route that looks open on a map may be private, closed or unsafe. Always check conditions, weather, local rules and access, carry proper equipment and navigation, and judge for yourself whether a route is right for your ability. You use Mappo and follow any route at your own risk.
When you connect Garmin, Wahoo, Polar, Strava, Apple Health or another service, their own terms also apply to that service. We are not responsible for them, and a connection can stop working if the other service changes or ends it.
Some content, such as certain guide collections, may be offered as part of a paid subscription. Prices, renewal and cancellation will be shown before you buy and handled through your Apple ID under Apple's terms.
We work to keep Mappo running, but it is provided "as is" and may sometimes be unavailable, change, or lose features. We may update these terms; if a change matters, we will tell you in the app before it applies. If you keep using Mappo after that, you accept the new terms.
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for loss of data, or for injury, loss or damage resulting from outdoor activities or from relying on information in Mappo. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or your rights as a consumer under the law of the country where you live.
You can stop using Mappo and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms.
These terms are governed by Swiss law. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you can bring proceedings in your local courts.
